Although many people think this tea is "smoked", the smokiness in this tea is actually the byproduct of the “pinewood” drying process. A Lapsang Souchong is only smoky when it’s dried with Tongmu Village’s local Chinese red pinewood. The authentic smoky Lapsang Souchong does not carry a strong smoky taste. Our smoky Lapsang Souchong has a classic light and elegant smoky aroma and taste.
